Would anybody be keen for a bit of a "surviving Christmas" tip share?

  1. Yes! I will drink my calories in wine and eat a huge salad with dinner while picking at various side dishes. I will be holding my i-pod touch the entire time and logging every calorie. I will watch my (mostly overweight) family gobble down fattening foods and feel disgust by this reverse thinspo. Most of all I will remember, and keep telling myself, that Christmas is just another day and not an excuse to eat like crazy. Eating does not equal happiness.

  3. try my hardest not to feel guilty. it will ruin christmas.

also, eat lots of raw and steamed veggies with lemon, literally gorge myself with them, leave little room for awful cakes and casseroles.

  5. Don't set your standards high, because if you don't meet them, you'll be really upset with yourself. Just imagine where the foods that you want to eat will plump you up... it should be enough. Just dumb everything down the sink as soon as you put it on your plate!

  6. Bring mouthwash?

    ...

I meeeeeeeeean, put me down for what Sar said and I will do some sit ups, push ups and lunges to keep my muscles active.

Don't be too hard on myself, it's x-mas.

And remember that 3500 calories on top of my resting metabolic rate is what will cause me to gain, so stay in line- don't over do it but don't be all paranoid and freakout either.

  8. i have already accepted that christmas counts as a lifestyle binge day. Now i've remembered if i want to eat like a pig i have to purge if i dont want to resemble a pig, that is my plan. That does still mean exercising self control, making sure healthy stuff with long digestion times go in first, and that i drink enough water, and eat only enough to throw up once, rather than setting up a disruptive pattern for the day.

christmas should count as a day off because noone wants to remember the christmases they wasted staring at their jiggling thighs... if you cant give yourself a free pass, then at least be prepared with the possibility of some purging at some pooint, so you dont feel like you've let yourself down if it becomes too much.
icecream tub under the bed? thats my plan. though i'm not sure which is worse, my room smelling like vomit or its current, rather pungent odour of 'allididfortwodayswaswatcharresteddevelopmentandsmokeweedandnowitstoocoldtoairoutmyroom'?

    love you lots xx

  9. I don´t think I got a clever tip...

I am already despondent, because there´s no way I can escape all the food and all the people pressuring me to eat it. I will just try to behave, remind me of my goal, and plan for the next restricting period and the gym...

  10. I plan on being a little sick to my stomach. It's hard not being pressured to drink a little, but it usually works well with food intake if you start "feeling sick" the week of christmas.
